Description
Tuscany is one of the most popular and romantic tourist destinations in Italy. One dreams of rolling green hills covered with vineyards as well as hill top medieval villages and ancient fortified towns and art cities, full of historical museums and churches filled with art.
Tuscany is the land of food and wine and a great place to visit for foodies in search of magnificent meals and great reds. There are many sagres and festivals to visit in all the little towns and Florence is the jewel in the crown of Tuscany and the center of renaissance art. The Maremma coastline is a great place to relax on the beach with kilometers of white beaches.
Montepulciano wine region in the beautiful Val d’Orcia is our favourite area and the typical Tuscany filled with fabulous vineyards and home to the Vino Nobile. Siena is the most perfect sized town to stay in, with lots of treasures to see as is Lucca. Try some of our Tuscan Day Tours which are not only enjoyable but educational as well.

Getting there and around
The best way to get to Florence is by train, as it is one of the main stops on the high-speed train line. To get to the other towns and villages, and to tour the countryside you will need a car – as local train and bus services are not always frequent. The main airport is the Pisa International Airport Galileo Galilei, whilst the Florence one is smaller but well connected to all the major Italian towns. Livorno is the main port, where ferries to Sardinia and Tuscan islands departure.
