Venice Two bedroom apartments with class and distinction in Dorsoduro, filled with antique furniture, located in a 16th century Venetian private house located on the canal in one of the best neighborhoods of Venice.

Still owned and inhabited by the original noble family who have restored and made it available for visitors in many different ways. Only guests who appreciate and who will care for the quality antiques will be allowed to rent.

Description

This apartment faces East so that it gets the morning light.
The sitting room and bedrooms look out over the canal. It has two bedrooms two bathrooms a living room and kitchen.
The rooms are large and therefore it can accommodate a family of 5 or 6 persons quite comfortably. The atmosphere is “rustic Venice” with the old beams and Venetian floors while the furniture is mostly XVIIIth century with some later and some earlier pieces.

The furniture is mainly in Venetian 18th century style. Guests who do not want to climb stairs are particularly fond of it. It is almost entirely decorated with antique fabrics from the family collection.

The Green Bedroom

The headboard and the mirrors on each side are XVIIIth century while the bed itself (queen size) is modern and comfortable. The chiffonnier is XIXth century American.

The Red Bedroom

This is perhaps the largest bedroom of the house and it is furnished with three single beds. The twin beds can be joined together to make a queen size bed. The walls are decorated with two antique Persian mezzari.

The Living Room

A large comfortable room with a fine XVIIth century dinner table and also a modern sofa/trundle bed which can accommodate two extra guests.

The kitchen

It is somewhat small but it has a large window with a view over the rooftops and all the necessary equipment of a modern kitchen: 4 gas fires electric oven microwave oven dish washer freezer fridge etc.

The furniture is mostly antique ranging from the 17th century onwards.
