Description

Large six bedroom villa in a magical position overlooking the clear blue sea of the Argentario area of South Eastern Tuscany. This amazing villa sleeps max 12 people. Originally an ancient watch tower, the villa has been fully restored and features spectacular panorama views.  A walkway leads down to the sea shore and from the private sun deck.

The views of the Tuscan coastline are absolutely superb, as is the surrounding scenery, with the clear blue sea and azure skies contrasting perfectly with lush green countryside, and lovely harbours and fishing villages dotting the landscape. The villa was recently featured in a James Bond movie, “Quantum of Solace”, a testament to its unforgettable charm. The tower was historically a spanish tower, erected to protect against invasions by the Saracens.

A private road leads to the property. On entering on the right hand side there is a little dining room with fireplace, table and chairs from which you access two of the villas lovely bedrooms. On the left of the entrance corridor there is a fully equipped kitchen and further  double bedroom also with ensuite bathroom.

From the corridor steps one reaches the first floor of the villa where there is a luminous lounge with gorgeous views. At one end is a sitting area with settees, armchairs, satellite television, DVD player and fireplace and at the other a dining table and chairs, as well as a little kitchenette. This room opens onto a terrace furnished with table and chairs for dining al fresco and sun-loungers, perfect spot for enjoying the magnificent sea views  which stretch far as the Tuscan islands of Giglio and Montecristo on the horizon.

In the ancient watchtower is the bedroom with fireplace, four poster bed, and on the level above reached by wooden stairs a small shower room and dressing area. From here one can access a little terrace at the top of the tower.

Close to the main villa is a lovely guest house with a sitting room and two double bedrooms, (one with four poster bed), each with ensuite bathrooms.

The villa can be booked as a four bedroom or six bedroom with varying prices.

There is plenty of space for relaxing at the villa, the panoramic terrace is a wonderful spot which leads to another terrace area below with a swimming pool (6m x 4m) surrounded by wooden sun deck. It’s a joy to dine alfresco and enjoy a barbecue whilst savouring the beautiful sunset. The villa even has its’ own walkway leading down the private rocky beach shared with another villa and sea shore, where there is a further sun deck and from every angle there are gorgeous sea views.

The villa is surrounded by two terraces, one of which has been transformed into a splendid panoramic lookout, amidst the greenery of the garden. It is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the wonderful sunshine, take a dip in the swimming pool, or to enjoy the company of good friends and a glass of wine around the barbecue after sunset. The other is equipped with deckchairs.

Area in Tuscany

In the Maremma countryside on the Tuscan coast, a kilometre away from the town of Fonteblanda which has a variety of shops and facilities. The area is a popular playground for the rich and famous with gorgeous yachts moored in the harbours next to traditional fishing boats and the countryside is rich in flora and fauna, the renowned national park of the Maremma is in fact close by and can be explored on foot, horseback and bike. There are many interesting towns to explore within easy driving distance, as well has a host of pretty beaches along the coast.
