Located in the Maremma, in the south-west of Tuscany, this is a working farm on a romantic, and still untamed land. Owned by a family of architects who have restored an ancient property, respecting all its authentic eleventh-century atmosphere.

We invite you to come and experience the peace and bounty of our family estate, in summer perhaps ending a day of sightseeing by sipping a glass of local wine on your terrace while enjoying the Tuscan sunset over the olive groves – or in winter savouring your wine in front of a roaring fire of perfumed olive wood. In order to appeciate this atmosphere at its best, we intentionally have chosen not to install TVs in our accommodations.

A working farm in Maremma Tuscany so depending in which period you come here you could experience grape harvesting olive picking or cork harvesting. You can also taste the typical italian olive oil made by the family.

This is the ideal place if you want to relax but at the same time experience Italian county life.

All the suites and apartments, surrounded by magnificent green landscapes, are equipped with openfireplaces or antique stoves, terraces and private green areas. All of them are impeccably decorated with the family’s antique furniture and paintings, which are in a perfect harmony with the property’ s atmosphere.

The solutions are differently sized for 2, 3, 4, people, and all of them have a comfortable living space, bedroom, a kitchen/kichenette and bathroom with shower or bathtub. Private heating systems and old stone fireplaces extend the pleasure beyond the summer season when Tuscany Maremma reveals its deeper and more intimate secrets.

More Information

A private property consisting of 500 hectares granting maximum privacy and relaxation. Its panoramic position is a real privilege: located on a hillside resembling a large natural amphitheater it is surrounded by medieval castles offering on clear days stunning views to the sea. A multitude of interesting places lie in the vicinity of the farm.

There are Etruscan and Roman archeological sites the most important of which (Roselle the Crypt of S. Salvatore a Giuniano Vetulonia and S.Galgano) are all within a 40 minute drive.

See the medieval towns of Sovana Massa Marittima Pitigliano and many more. The National Nature Park of Uccellina is 30 minutes away; and nearby are the Oasis of Lake Buriano Mount Amiata several thermal baths (among which the world famous Terme di Saturnia) or beaches (some of Tuscany’s best shores are only 20 miles away).

Golf courses tennis courts and horseback riding all lie within a very reasonable distance and classes in painting watercolor and maremmana cuisine can be organized upon request. Within 6 km you can find everything you need bank post office pharmacy, grocery shops together with very nice trattoria restaurants where you can taste the very good local food.

There are no TV or telephones here but but there is good reception for guests own mobile phones. If you need to do the laundry the maid will take care of it for you for an added fee.
