Large Villa with 8 bedrooms sleeping 16 pax. Spanning over 1500 acres in the Val d’Orcia area, in Tuscany, the Estate is framed by verdant valleys, a small lake wooded hills and cultivated fields. The whole estate comprises 11 secluded villas, each with Pool, a working thoroughbred stable, olive oil production and the Abbey established in 1085 by Benedictine monks for which it is named.

Many guests prefer not to leave the estate during their stay, as it is so beautiful passing the time swimming, horse riding, walking, fishing and relaxing. On the edge of the vast nature reserve that makes the Val d’Orcia a perfect spot for nature lovers. All manner of flora and fauna can be found throughout the grounds including tuscan deer, wild boar, rabbits, foxes as well as plant life to satisfy any botanist.

The surroundings are rich in history and culture: the Etruscan zones of Chiusi and Murlo, the spring warm baths of Bagno Vignoni, the villages of Pienza, Cetona and Sarteano. The wine cellars of Montepulciano, Montalcino, Umbria and Lake Trasimeno, are simply at a stone’s throw.

This amazing 15th C villa has its own Swimming Pool and well equipped kitchen. Each bedroom has an ensuite bath and hair dryer. There is a phone extension in each room.

The name indicates the villa was built upon rock but in reality this is as close to paradise as one can get on earth.

The house sleeps a max of 16 pax and has two annexes.

Ground floor:

Entrance with living room TV and fireplace spiral staircase to first floor.

Kitchen connected to both TV room and patio/lemon house leading to annex with dining room and one more sitting room.

One double bedroom (double bed) with private bath and shower.

One double room with twin beds private bathroom and shower .

One double room with twin beds private bathroom with shower and independent entrance.

Service bathroom.

First floor:

First Floor: The floor is reachable by an internal spiral staircase situated at the entrance, or by an external marble stair case, there is a small living area with sofas and fire place, three bedrooms all with two single beds (joinable), each bedroom have its own bathroom with shower.

Weekly renting from Saturday to Saturday.
Check in Saturday afternoon from 5 to 9 p.m.
Check out the following Saturday before 11 a.m.
Arrivals after 9 p.m. are not accepted.

At the Abbey – a short drive from the house – guests can arrange the use of a fax, email, sauna, exercise room, mountain bikes and fishing equipment.
