Description
In the tiny little Umbrian village of Bevagna this is a charming grand and historical residence for a reviving break where you can completely relax tasting the best home grown produce of Umbria.
Hotel Rooms
The fourteen rooms and apartments of the Residence are all different and preserve most of their original fittings: antique furniture paintings kitchen utensils and little things which have always been there and tell the history of the family giving a special charm to these comfortable spaces. In the elegant 18th century Palazzo there are nine stylishly decorated rooms named after the Angels portrayed in the exquisite frescoes to recall the family name.
Apartments
The beautifully restored Palazzo features five unique apartments where Roman antiquities etrude from later architectural structures. The “Case” (apartments) are typical examples of medieval architecture and their names in early Italian reflect their individual character. When choosing your room do not hesitate to ask the hostess and her collaborators for help: they will be happy to find the accommodation that is most suitable for you.
Passion for Italy Review:
I loved staying in this hotel and will always remember waking up in the lovely four poster bed with frescos on the ceiling. I felt at home and as if I had stepped into the past. The breakfast was simply one of the best I have ever had in Italy with the most flavoursome fruit home made jam that tasted like Grandma used to make only better. I wanted to bring 10 jars home with me!!
Other Information
The hanging garden has always been the heart of the Residence. It is a treat for the senses with its age old wisteria the sweet smelling jasmine the beautiful clematis and the old fashioned rose beds tended lovingly by the family.
